Arrival to San Cristobal Island - Interpretation Center & Loberia
Departure from Quito or Guayaquil to San Cristobal (2 1/2 hours flight). Arriving in Galapagos, you will start by visiting the Interpretation Center to learn about the island's wildlife and conservation efforts. In a natural history room, see a presentation of the island's origin, and in another, the human history since Galápagos's discovery. Afterward, you will enjoy La Loberia, which is a great site to view colonies of sea lions and marine iguanas. Here you can see the coastal vegetation and dry where is common mangrove, salt marsh, muyuyo, and palo verde. The beach’s name in English basically means “Sealion Beach”, as Lobería comes from lobos marinos which oddly is the Spanish word for these cute sea lions. This site is located about 3 km from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno town, on the Southwestern tip of San Cristóbal Island.

Snorkeling in Kicker Rock
ou will start your day with breakfast at your hotel before heading out to Kicker Rock, a dramatic volcanic rock formation that provides the perfect habitat for a variety of marine life. You will be taken in your own private boat to have a more exclusive experience. Once you arrive, you will get to snorkel in crystal clear waters and observe sea turtles, sea lions, colorful tropical fish, rays, and other marine life. After a few hours of snorkeling, you will enjoy a delicious lunch before heading back to shore. The day trip to Kicker Rock is a great way to experience the natural beauty of the Galapagos Islands and its amazing underwater life.

Highlands of San Cristobal, El Junco Lagoon, and La Galapaguera
After breakfast in your hotel, you will be picked up by our local guide to explore the highlands of the beautiful San Cristobal Islands; you will be located on the easternmost island of the Galapagos archipelago and it is not only rich in fauna but also in history. On the agenda, you will have the opportunity to visit the highlands of San Cristobal, El Junco Lagoon, and La Galapaguera. You will literally cross the entire island and visit the Laguna El Junco, which is a volcanic crater lake, the Tortoise Reserve “La Galapaguera” and to conclude swim on the beautiful Puerto Chino beach. During this day, you will learn among other interesting facts the differences between turtles and the Galapagos tortoises! You will also enjoy this special place, as it is home to a variety of biozones that you can see during your hike until reaching a maximum elevation of 730 meters (2.400 feet) and have cooler weather than Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. You will return to your hotel in San Cristobal (Puerto Baquerizo Moreno) in the afternoon, to enjoy the evening at leisure.

Española Island, Home of endemic species
Visitors to Punta Suarez are welcomed by a large colony of marine iguanas, the only iguanas that dive for algae, earning the nickname “imps of darkness” from Darwin. Continuing on, a lookout offers views of a blowhole shooting water into the air. Española Island is home to the waved albatross, with a wingspan over 6.5 feet, performing intricate courtship dances during mating season. The coral sand beach at Witch Hill, visited by Darwin, is perfect for swimming and snorkeling, and attracts various birds, sea lions, and marine iguanas. The lagoon, occasionally dry, reveals salt deposits once mined by locals. At Gardner Bay, white sand and clear waters host sea lions and marine iguanas, inviting snorkeling. Nearby Osborn Islet is a nesting site for birds like blue-footed boobies and lava gulls.
